This authentication sends a confirmation code to user’s mobile during the time of password reset. Users have to enter the confirmation code in the self-service pages to confirm their identity. As similar as in email verification, an AD attribute can be associated with this authentication method, which can hold the user’s mobile number used for verification. Local mobile service providers generally offer an interface to receive emails in a specified format containing mail message and mobile number, by which the mobile codes are sent to the user’s mobiles. Administrator can configure the service provider email and message formats so as to enable the code transmission.
